Xiao-Tang Kong is a board-certified neuro-oncologist and a clinical professor at the University of California (UC). She currently serves as interim chief and clinical director of Neuro-Oncology Division, and the Director of Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program at UC Irvine Health. Her research focuses on new therapeutic modalities for primary and metastatic tumors of the brain and spinal cord. She earned her medical degrees from the Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California and Capital University of Medical Science in Beijing. She completed her fellowship in neuro-oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. In addition, she earned her PhD in molecular biology of cancer from University of Tokyo.
