Mantas Dmukauskas, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow at National Cancer Institute (NCI), Transdivisional Research Program (TDRP).
In 2020 I have finished my Ph.D. in physics in Vilnius University, Vilnius, Lithuania. In the same year I have transitioned towards data analytics in medical research, as I joined dr. Jill Barnholtz Sloan research group in Case Western Reserve university in Cleveland, Ohio. At that time I was working on a research project looking into sex differences in breast cancer. In 2022 I have started doing postdoctoral fellowship at National Cancer Instute working on the data analytics with the primary research focus on primary brain tumors and CNS metastasis. I am looking into how the demographic, policy and treatment patterns affects brain tumor patient incidence and survival. I am happy to be a part of a cancer research as I find this field very interesting, meaningful and rewarding.
