Paul Knoepfer is a Professor at UC Davis School of Medicine in the Department of Cell Biology and Human Anatomy. At UC Davis he is also a faculty member of the Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Genome Center. He received his PhD from UCSD School of Medicine in Molecular Pathology. He did a postdoctoral fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center with Bob Eisenman studying MYC signaling and chromosome biology in neural stem cells, brain development, and childhood cancers. His current research interests are primarily focused on childhood brain tumors, microcephaly, and pluripotent stem cell function, with emphasis on epigenomic mechanisms.
