John L. Villano, MD and PhD specialize in the treatment of brain cancers, and currently serves as the director of Univeristy Kentucky HealthCare’s Neuro-Oncology Research Program. He is an active clinical trial practitioner and serve as the Medical Director of UK's Precision Medicine Center. He has been at UK since 2012 and currently a Professor in the College of Medicine’s Department of Internal Medicine and the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
Dr. Villano’s MD and PhD degrees are from the University of Texas Southwestern, and he received training at the University of California Los Angeles, University of Michigan, and at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Ill., followed by a fellowship at the University of Chicago. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, and by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties for Neuro-Oncology.
