Yongjian Tang, MD, is a postdoctoral scholar at the UCSF Brain Tumor Center (BTC) under the guidance of Dr. Russ Pieper. With over five years of intensive neurosurgery residency training, he conducted clinical-related basic research using patient-derived glioma cerebral organoids and xenografts for disease modeling and drug screening. Driven by his passion for understanding signal transduction and human glioma genesis models, he joined the Pieper lab in July 2019. His primary research focus is on uncovering the mechanisms of the nuclear export protein exportin-1 inhibitor in glioma.
