Dr. Holdhoff is an Associate Professor of Oncology and Neurosurgery at The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. After graduation from medical school at the Freie Universität Berlin and his dissertation at Charité University Medicine Berlin, he trained in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in medical oncology at Johns Hopkins Hospital and research training within the Ludwig Center for Cancer Genetics and Therapeutics at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Holdhoff's research is focused on clinical trials in malignant gliomas and biomarker studies for cancers of the central nervous system. His clinic is focused on patients with malignant gliomas and primary central nervous system lymphomas. Dr. Holdhoff serves as the Director of the Solid Tumor Inpatient Service at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Co-Director of the Neuro-Oncology Fellowshp Program at Johns Hopkins and the National Institutes of Health. He enjoys teaching and mentoring of fellows in medical and neuro-oncology and he is a teaching attending on the Janeway firm of the Osler internal medicine residency program.
