Consuelo Torrini, Ph.D completed her bachelor’s and master's degrees in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology in Florence, IT. She received her Ph.D. training in Molecular Medicine at the International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), IT/ Open University, UK. As a postdoctoral scientist, she studied neuro-oncology and the impact of tumor microenvironment on GBM metabolism at Columbia University, NY. Recently, she joined Dr. Priscilla Brastianos’ Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where she is continuing her studies in neuro-oncology as a postdoctoral fellow with the goal of translating molecular research into a clinical setting. The focus of her research is on the study of the genetics of brain metastases and to test new combination therapies for oncological patients with intracranial progression.
