Anita DeSantis (B.S) is currently a Senior Research Technician in the Tien Pharmacodynamic laboratory at the Ivy Brain Tumor Center. Her main responsibilities and interests are genetic sequencing and methylation assays. She is part of the team that pursue novel drug or drug combination clinical trials for brain tumor patients. The combination of well-developed Phase 0 platform and precision medicine allows the team to understand pharmacodynamic endpoints in the tumor as well as to provide insights of how to overcome the brain-blood barrier and drug target inhibition. Since the Ivy Center Pharmacodynamics Core is CAP/CLIA-certified with validated assays, Anita plays an important role in every day clinical laboratory tasks while carefully monitoring and providing quality results for the patients.
