Dr. McGranahan is the Neuro-Oncologist at the Scripps Cancer Center in San Diego, California. Clinically she cares for patients with primary and metastatic brain and spinal cord tumors. Her research work focuses on treatment for patients with primary brain tumors as well as monitoring and treatment of neurologic complications for cancer survivors. She completed her medical school training at the University of California, San Diego and her PhD in molecular neurobiology at the Salk Institute. Fellowship and residency training were completed at Stanford University. She was previously Director of Clinical Research at the University of Washington where she built a translational research program focused on gliomas as well as brain tumor survivorship. In addition she is passionate about improving physician wellness so providers can better care to patients.
