Ryusuke Hatae, MD, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral scholar in the Okada Lab of neurological surgery at UCSF. During the Ph.D. course, he worked on the molecular diagnosis of glioma. As a postdoctoral fellow in the Honjo Lab at Kyoto University, Japan, he developed the host immune metabolic biomarkers in cancer patients treated with PD-1 antibodies. His current work focuses on discovering novel immunotherapies for glioma from the aspect of immune metabolism.
